Ushers 2007 Annual Report The primary roles of the ushers are to ensure that the service flows smoothly and to assist clergy, members and visitors in any way needed. Ushers are busy before, during, and after the service performing many behind-the-scenes functions, as well as participating in both the offering and communion parts of the service. This is a dynamic and interesting ministry to be involved in! At St. Michael’s, we are blessed to have such an energetic group of ushers. Serving at the 8:00 service are Dancy and Dave Dobrenick, Jim Eddings, George Hoover, and Rick Larkey. Ushers serve in teams of four at the 10:00 service. The teams are: Pam and Doug Bailey and Tina and Victor Stiles; Cynthia and Skip Metcalf and Tami and Todd Murray; Mary and Doug Davy, Suzanne Phinney, and Dick Pryor; and Donna Arellano, Harry Hills, and Lisa and Jim Sargent. Philip Asher, Bill Behnk, Hunter O’Hair, and Chuck Vento served as substitutes. We were fortunate to have Phillip Asher join the usher group in 2007.
