A Place to Relax...

The Castle

Wagon Tree Ranch is nestled on the banks of East Austin Creek hidden in a canyon east of the village of Cazadero, California 17 miles west of Guerneville and 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

The Ranch offers 80 acres of majestic fir, madrone and oak; and massive granite boulders wearing velvet mantles of moss the year round. Most of all, it is the ideal environment for refreshment and renewal, prayer and relaxation, play and recreation; and hiking and exploring in nature's wonderland.

Wagon Tree Ranch is owned and operated by Saint Michael's Episcopal Church and is available year round. We invite you and your family or group to pause and refresh yourselves at the Ranch -- overnight, for a weekend or longer.

Accomodations

The three-story redwood house (known locally as the "Castle") contains a huge brick fireplace and a wood stove in the spacious two-story living room. Twelve single and six double beds await you (mostly dormitory style).

The kitchen and bathrooms have recently been remodeled. You will find complete kitchen facilities including all necessary cooking utensils, a gas refrigerator, stove and hot water heater, as well as battery-operated fluorescent lighting.

Our full-time caretaker will greet you and show you around, explain the appliances, etc. and be available to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

Reservations

Making reservations well in advance is recommended as the summer weekends are the most popular. Rates are very, very reasonable. For a brochure, additional information or for reservations, Call Eileen Wheaton at 916-359-7481 or email to pthickey8 at msn dot com.

Wagon Tree Ranch provides a place apart for both members of St. Michael's Parish and other church and family groups as a retreat for their renewal, refreshment and recreation.

The Wagon Tree Ranch Committee maintains the facility with volunteer help and income derived from rental fees and gifts. No financial assistance is received from St. Michael's.

The committee welcomes you to become a member of the committee and invites those who have not visited Wagon Tree Ranch to plan a trip to this beautiful 80-acre facility.

The committee also encourages individuals, families and groups to use this facility for their solitude, relaxation, pleasure or group activities.

For further information, please contact Dick Pryor at 489-9274 or Eileen Wheaton at 916-359-7481.
