Daughters of the King

St. Michael’s Daughter’s of The King Chapter will meet Monday, March 31, 10:00 a.m. in the Friendship Center. The monthly study will include an International report.  D.O.K continues to grow internationally. Since 2006 twenty-one chapters have been installed in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Kenya and Malawi. In addition, forty-one chapters from around the world have been paired with National Chapters as partners involved in the Prayer Partnership Program.

2007 Annual Report

St. Michael’s, Carmichael, chapter of Daughters Of The King, meets for prayer and study on the last Monday of each month. We currently have ten members. We installed two new members August 19, 07. Our new members are Mary Hutchinson and Becky Oleson and we are very pleased to have them joins us.

When we meet each month each we hold a business meeting which is followed by a program and discussion. At our May meeting we were very pleased to have Dr. Frank Brown as our guest. He gave a very interesting talk on Centering Prayer and led us through a meditation. Many of us felt motivated to learn more about this form of prayer.

Recently we read the book The Art Of Discernment by Stefan Kiechle, which was followed by a lively discussion. The purpose of the book is to help you make good personal decisions.

Each week we mail the Sunday bulletin and a special devotional to those unable to attend church on a regular basis. We are also involved in many parish organizations and are available to assist the Rector when needed. Please contact me if you are interested in becoming a member of Daughters Of The King, my phone number is 944-2754.
