New Member Ministry
2007 Annual Report
When adults come to St. Michael’s they may be returning to Church after a significant absence, new to the area, or just attracted to the Episcopal Church. In 2007 I offered a nine week course called “Commitment to Faithful Living.” We met in the school library and covered such topics as community, Faith vs. religion, discernment, spirituality, etc. I was assisted in this endeavor by several others, who spoke on different topics – Fr. George+, Tina Ferriot. & Mary Ellen Ferguson. At the end of the nine weeks, we formally welcomed these new members into the congregation during the Sunday morning services.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)
